You know what is not good for your skin or hair- winter! The dryness on your skin and roughness of your skin is shown when the cold temperature hits as it saps off all the natural oils.

Let us give you some tips to reduce the effects of it.

  1. Change your beauty regime- With the change in weather, our skin reacts differently, keeping the same beauty regime is not a good option. Add more moisturising this season and keep your skin hydrated.
  2. Cleansing Time- opt out for a cleanser that is without chemicals and does not rid you of the natural oils, making your skin prone to visible wrinkles and fine lines.
  3. Avoid exfoliating as much as possible- Though the process is for removing dead skin and making it more soft and subtle but using harsh scrubs can cause adverse effects. If need be use mild scrubs.
  4. Sunscreen is your best friend- even if it’s less sunny outside, do not compromise on sunscreen as it not only protects you from the UV rays but also moisturises your skin. SPF 15 and above are good options to use 30 min before you leave your place.
  5. Bathe in lukewarm and not hot water- Though hot water bath is an absolute treat in this chilly weather, they will have ill effects on your skin. So make sure to moisturise thoroughly after a lukewarm bath.
  6. Take care of your lips- Chapped lips are most common during this time around. So, use a lip balm regularly and try the home remedy of sugar and honey scrub once daily.
